Alfred Cobb, 92, of Midland passed away on July 2, 2018 at Brittany Manor. He was born on June 18, 1926 in Bay County to the late Floyd and Amelia (Haefka) Cobb. In Butterfield, MI on January 12, 1952 he married Mary Clark who predeceased him on April 20, 2004.

Alfred worked for 35 years at Dow Chemical and then 10 years with Spencer’s Painting Company. He enjoyed gardening, volunteering and Nease Nazarene, playing softball, watching the Detroit Tigers and going to Indian Lake Camp Ground in the summers.

Alfred is survived by his children, Diane (Ron) Schweigert, Laynette (Rich) St. John, Ronda Glynn, grandchildren, Matthew Glynn, Sam St. John and Nate St. John. He is also survived by his brother Allen Cobb.

Alfred was predeceased by six brothers and four sisters.

A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 Am on Tuesday, July 10, 2018 at Nease Nazarene Church with Pastor Beth Hanson officiating. Friends may visit with the family at Smith-Miner Funeral Home on Monday, July 9, 2018 from 4-7 pm and on Tuesday at the church from 10 am until the time of service. Burial will take place at Midland Memorial Gardens. Military honors will be under the auspices of United States Army and Midland county Veterans.

The family would like to thank Candlestone for the wonderful care they gave Alfred.
