Anthony R. Leigeb, 94, of Midland, died on Jan. 13, 2011 at the Toni and Trish House in Auburn with his family at his side. Tony was born in Plainview, Minnesota on Jan. 27, 1916 to the late Michael and Mary (Winter) Leigeb. Tony had the pleasure of being married to two special ladies first was Marjorie Spiker who preceded him on Feb. 4, 1968, and Ola Covell whom he married on Oct. 22, 1976. Tony worked for Dow Chemical as a Master Tradesman retiring in 1978. He was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, the Sanford American Legion and the Sanford Eagles. He enjoyed traveling, especially to his summer place in Lake City, country music, was an avid deer hunter and spending time with his grandchildren. Tony is survived by his loving wife Ola; daughter Judi (Tom) Houghtaling of Beaverton; step children, Wanda (Vic) Howe of Heartland, Terry Lower of Sanford, Jerry (Marla) Lower of Midland, Sherry (Gary) Moe of Sanford; grandchildren, Corey Lower, Erin Swick, Sheila Ercolani, Scott Howe, Taber Lower, Brynn Lower, Callie Lower; 8 great grandchildren,; sister, Joanne Kuehne; brothers, Paul (Phyllis), Frank, Ed (Ethel), Elm, Ollie, Harold (Vicki); sisters in Law, Helen Leigeb and Nancy Leigeb. Tony was predeceased by his sister Adeline Marcy and brother Mike Jr., Matt and Joe. A Funeral Liturgy will be held on Tue. Jan. 18, at 11:00 am at Smith-Miner Funeral Home, 2700 W. Wackerly, with Father Pete Gaspeny the liturgent. The family will receive friends at the Funeral Home on Monday, Jan. 17 from 5 til 7 pm and on Tue. Jan 18 from 10:00 until the time of the service.
