Betty Lou Rodammer, 92, of Midland, passed away on April 28, 2020 at Independence Village of Midland. Betty Lou was born on March 17, 1928 to the late Harry and Amelia (Cronin) Asher. She married Wallace J. Rodammer on July 17, 1953 and they shared 66 wonderful years together.


Betty Lou graduated from Fordson High School in Dearborn, MI. She attended the University of Michigan and Harper Hospital School of Nursing. After graduating she worked for Detroit Public Health, Oakwood Hospital and then in private practice offices, retiring in 1988. Betty Lou and Wally were devoted members of Heart of the Shepherd Lutheran Church in Howell, MI.


Betty Lou is survived by her husband, Wallace, children, Lori (Steve) Dasher, Kris Rodammer, Kari (John) Bilek, grandchildren, Jordan (Sarah) Dasher, Natalie (Mike) Trent, Christopher (Deanna) Bilek, Matthew Bilek, Maya Rodammer, great grandchildren, Ellie Dasher and Emerson Dasher. She is also survived by her sister Eileen Asher. She was predeceased by her parents and her step-sister Winona Asher.


A private graveside service will take place on Friday, May 1, 2020 at 1:00 pm. Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to donate to a charity of their choice.

    We were saddened to hear of the passing of Betty Lou. She touched so many lives and was one of God’s best servants. Now she is shining bright in his presence. Our deepest sympathy to Wally and family. We know she will be greatly missed.

    So very sorry to hear this. Betty Lou and Wally were wonderful neighbors to my parents, Vaughn & Jenny Oswalt, back at the IV in Brighton. Betty Lou was always so thoughtful, checking in on my mom during her last few years of struggling with COPD. My sisters and I so appreciate the friendship that Betty Lou and Wally had with our parents. We’re thinking of the entire family at this sad time and sending comforting thoughts your way.
