Calvin E. Miller left this earth on May 6, 2020 at the age of 74 after a short struggle with cancer. Cal was born in Midland, MI on July 23, 1945 to the late Perry and Clista Miller. Cal was the last of 6 children. He will be sadly missed by his wife of 55 years Laura K (Rogers) Miller. They were united in marriage on February 27, 1965.
During his lifetime Cal demonstrated the same hard working and dedication he had with his family at his employment. Cal started at Dow Chemical Company in May of 1966 and remained there unwavering until his retirement in February of 2001. During his retirement, Cal, along with his wife, fully enjoyed hunting, golfing and spending time with their family. He also attended Our Lady of Grace Church in Sanford for 55 years. Cal was a driver for the County Connections from 2013 until present. Family members looked to Cal for help and his giving nature and he will be greatly missed.
Calvin is survived by his two daughters, Laurie (Darin) LaCoursiere of Spencer, Indiana and their three children, Celeste LaCoursiere, Chase LaCoursiere and Carter LaCoursiere and Kellie (Steven) Spencer of Grosse Pointe Farms, MI and their daughter Sydnie Spencer. To them Cal was a strong presence that brought laughter and comfort and that if it could be fixed, he would fix it. Calvin will also be missed by his two step granddaughters, Amy Sutter and Ashley Spencer, brother, Charles (Vera) Miller and his sister, Connie (Gabe) Jacobs.
Cal and Kit had one daughter that passed away and he is now reunited with Kristy Kay. Cal was also predeceased by his brothers Lyle, Dale and Dick.
Due to Covid 19 a memorial service will take place at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, those considering an expression of sympathy are asked to consider Our Lady of Grace Church, St. Judes or Mid-Michigan Hospice.

Cal will be so missed by so many! His grouchy witty ways were my favorite things about him! He was a man who would do anything for you no matter what. RIP Cal, my birthday twin…. Prayers to all of you.
