Carolyn Lewert, 86, of Midland, died on Sunday, Nov. 6, 2011 at MidMichigan Medical Center-Midland. Carolyn was born on Aug. 17, 1925 in Cleveland, Ohio to the late Florence (Hartwig) and Frederick Schneider. On Feb. 9, 1946 Carolyn married her sweetheart Henry Lewert who predeceased her on Dec. 27, 2000. Carolyn was a volunteer emeritus at the MidMichigan Hospitals – gift shop, push cart and treasurer. She was a member of the Chorale Church Choir, Sewing Club Guild, a couples pinochle club and Past President of En Avant. Carolyn is survived by her daughters, Marcia Seiter of Indianapolis, IN, Carolyn (Darrell) Hagan of Klamath Falls, OR; son, Rev. Donald (Donita) Lewert of Tuckerman, AR; grandchildren, Leah Lewert, David (Wendy) Seiter, Jennifer Hagan, Donald Mahon; nieces, Janet (Gary) Kronenberger of Parma Heights, OH, Diane (Ray) Beth-Parker of Raleigh, NC; nephew, Allan (Eileen) Beth of Newton, MA; her bible study group and special friends and neighbors. Carolyn was predeceased by her sister Ruth Beth. A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday, Nov. 11, 2011 at Smith-Miner Funeral Home, 2700 W. Wackerly, with Reverend Donald H. Lewert officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:00 noon until the time of the service.
