(October 31, 1974 – July 30, 2015)

After a lengthy illness, Carrie (Tillotson) Elledge, age 40, of Hope, MI passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, July 30, 2015 with her parents by her side. Carrie was born to Buck and Becky Tillotson in Crookston, MN on October 31, 1974. She graduated from Grove Christian School in Laingsburg, MI, attended Northland Baptist Bible College, and graduated from the University of Minnesota at Crookston. Diagnosed very young with Juvenile Diabetes and Multiple Sclerosis, Carrie was a determined young woman who didn?ÇÖt let her handicaps stop her until she had no choice. In high school she actively participated in the handbell choir, was student manager of the girls?ÇÖ basketball team, sang in ACE competitions, and thoroughly enjoyed life. She passionately loved to bake and share her goodies with others. She loved to laugh, send funny cards, and, right to the end, was an encouragement to care-givers, family, and friends?Çöoften heard saying, ?Ç£You make me smile,?Ç¥ and ?Ç£You are a blessing to me.?Ç¥ Carrie showed a great sense of humor with an unusual ability to laugh at herself and her circumstances. She found great comfort in her relationship with Jesus Christ and her church family. Carrie is survived by her parents, grandmother Marjorie Illig of Canandaigua, NY, brother Jim (Joan) Tillotson of Edmonton, Alberta, sisters Amber (Toby) Thoelcke of Wixom, MI, and Sarah (Matt) Bright of Midland, and aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Monday, August 3rd at Calvary Baptist Church, Midland with her brother Pastor Jim Tillotson officiating. Visitation will be at Calvary Baptist Church on Monday from 10 a.m. until the service.
