(October 27, 1940 – December 31, 2010)

DANIEL J. PRYBYSKIDaniel Joseph Prybyski was born October 27, 1940 to Joseph and Eva (Klingensmith) Prybyski in Midland, Michigan. He loved working as a policeman and began his career in Midland Township in 1971. After earning his degree in law enforcement from Delta College, he became Midland Township Chief of Police where he remained until 1998. His dedication to the people of Midland Township was legendary. He was ?Ç£on call?Ç¥ for police and fire duty for Midland Township 24 hours a day. He had a heart for kids and law enforcement so he started the Midland Law Enforcement Explorer Group #2975, and he ran the group for approximately 35 years. He began working for the Midland County Sheriff Department as a court deputy and a D.A.R.E. officer in 1999, and he retired in 2009. He treated all people with respect and kindness, no matter their trouble. Dan loved helping people, and he will be remembered for his servant?ÇÖs heart. For nearly 40 years, Dan served as a role model in the community by teaching the D.A.R.E. program, overseeing the Explorers, volunteering for Bullock Creek School District, working with the Great Lakes Loons and being an active member of his church. Dan is survived by his loving wife, Jane; daughter Dawn (Shane) Carsten; son, David (Keri) Prybyski; step daughter, Amy (Robert) Kurson; two grandchildren, Joshua Prybyski and Jacob Prybyski; sisters, Carol Haut, Sharon (Bill) Weisheim, Sandy (Larry) Leach and many nieces and nephews.
