Daniel William Hall, 81, of Edenville, died unexpectedly on April 9, 2011. Daniel was born in Atlas Township, Genesee County, Michigan, on July 2, 1929 to the late Lessie (Pier) and Daniel W. Hall. On May 20, 1960 Daniel married his sweetheart Evelyn Fowler in Waterford. After graduating from Ortonville High School, Daniel joined the United States Marine Corp and served in the Korean War. He advanced to the rank of Corporal and was honorably discharged in 1952. Daniel was the Maintenance Supervisor for the Gladwin County Courthouse, jail and library. He loved hunting, fishing, traveling, playing cards with friends and his family. Daniel is survived by his loving wife Evelyn; daughters, Debra Rivard of Colorado Springs, CO, Vicki (Larry) Barthel of Howell, Julia (Paul) Siders of Waterford, Denise (Randy) Bartlett of Bridgeport, Donna (Charles) Wallace of Woodruff, SC; son, Douglas Langdon of Longwood, FL; 17 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; sister, Norma Hall of Davison and many nieces and nephews.Daniel was predeceased by 2 sisters and 6 brothers. A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, April 13 at Smith-Miner Funeral Home, 2700 W. Wackerly, with Pastor Patrick Ryan Poag of Hope Methodist Church officiating. With Military Honors under the aupices of the United States Marine Corp and the Midland County Veterans. Mr. Hall’s family will receive friends at the Funeral Home on Tuesday, April 12, from 4 til 7 pm and on Wednesday from 10 am until the time of service.
