Darwin “Doc” Floyd Eagle, 65, of Beaver Township, died on April 27, 2012. Doc was born on Aug. 27, 1946 in Alpena County, to the late Cecil and Dora May (Pillsbury) Eagle. Doc was honorably discharged from the U. S. Army after serving in the Vietnam War. He worked for GM and retired after 35 yrs. of service as a supervisor at Grey Iron. Doc bought the Duel Bar back in 1989 and has been the owner/manager since then. Doc was a member of the Midland V.F. W. He loved his tractor and his yard. Doc is survived by the love of his life, Vicki Owens; his daughter Renee (Brian) Eagle-Hacker of German Town, WI; son, Tom (Kathy Brink) Eagle of Aubun; grandchild Tori Hacker; extended family Christy Hall and her children Nic, Lena and Gwen; Kurtis Owens; brother, Roger (Rhonda) Eagle of Fenton: nephew Ryan Eagle and his dog Scooby. A Memorial Service will be held at 3:00 pm on Wednesday, May 2 at Smith-Miner Funeral Home, 2700 W. Wackerly with Pastor Roger Staufer the MidMichigan Medical Center Chaplain, officiating.
