David Allen King, 37, of Midland, MI, walked his final journey home after a lengthy illness on Wednesday, January 9, 2019, at MidMichigan Medical Center, Midland, MI.
David was born on May 10, 1981, in Saginaw, MI, to Francis and Katherine (Schreiber) King. He attended Midland Public Schools graduating from Midland High School in 1999. He was a lifelong member of the Little Traverse Bands of Odawa Indians, Harbor Springs, MI.
David is survived by his parents, Francis and Katherine (Schreiber) King, uncles; Andrew Austin and Timothy Robinson of Midland, MI, William Dennis King, and Butch (Carol) Cook, of Petoskey, MI. Aunts; Rose (King) Smalley, of Petoskey, MI, Michelle (Mark) Seitz, of Saginaw, MI, and Julia (Schreiber) Kessler, of Owosso, MI. Cousins; Martin Van De Car, of Petoskey, MI, Kathy Van De Car, of Las Vegas, Nevada, Annette (Judy) Van De Car of Petoskey, MI, Marie (Norm Blumke) Newman, of Good Hart, MI, John (Liz) Kenoshmeg Sr., of Harbor Springs, MI. and Adam (Katie) Arney, of Saginaw, MI.
David was predeceased by his grandparents; Mary (Kenoshmeg) King, Martin King, Richard Schreiber and Bonnie (Fales) Schrieber. Uncles; Charles Richard King, Martin King, Jr., Levi Kenoshmeg, Timothy Hubert and Paul Hubert. Aunts; Sarah (King) Van De Car, Julia Kenoshmeg and Margaret King.
A Memorial Service will be held at Holy Childhood of Jesus Church 150 W. Main St. Harbor Springs, MI. on Saturday January 19, 2019 at 11:00 AM with Father Jim Gardiner officiating. A fellowship meal will follow at the church.
A Memorial Service will be held at Aldersgate United Methodist Church, 2206 Airfield Lane, Midland, MI on Thursday January 24, 2019 at 11:00 AM with Rev. Michael T. Sawicki officiating. A fellowship meal will follow at the church.
