
Dean J. Cooper
Dean Jeffrey Cooper, 72, of Midland, beloved father and grandfather passed away unexpectedly on January 21, 2021. He was born on October 27, 1948 to Frank and Birdie (Brandt) Cooper.
Dean owned and operated D & D Asphalt Specialists for 35 years. He enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting, riding bikes and walking in the outdoors. His grandchildren were most important to him and he loved them dearly.
Dean is survived by his partner in life, Debra R. Klemt, children, Richard (Kelly) Cooper, Frank (Amanda) Cooper, grandchildren, Chad, Robert, Travis, Tyler, Tanner, Ashley, Lizzie, Sam I Am, TT, great grandchildren, Jazzmine and Hudson. He is also survived by his father, Frank Cooper, the children’s mother, Patricia Cooper, brother, Richard (Elaine) Cooper. Dean was predeceased by his daughter Danette M. Cunningham, mother, Eileen Cooper and sister Joanne Piland.
A memorial service will be held at 6:30 pm on Tuesday, January 26, 2021 at Smith-Miner Funeral Home, 2700 W. Wackerly, Midland. Friends may visit with the family on Tuesday at the funeral home from 4:00 pm until the time of service. Burial will take place at Lee Township Cemetery.
