Deborah A. Ostrander, 81, a lifelong resident of Midland, died on June 19, 2012 at MidMichigan Stratford Village. Deborah was born on July 2, 1930 in Saginaw to the late Clarence and Margaret (Wildes) Vannest. On Oct. 12, 1948 Deborah married her sweetheart John “Marlow” Ostrander in Midland. Marlow predeceased his beloved wife July 31, 2006. Deborah was a wonderful cook and homemaker. She was the rock of support for her husband and children and was there for all when needed. She was a past member of the Midland Township Zoning Board. Deborah was also an avid reader and a good friend and neighbor to many. Deborah is survived by her daughters Marla (John) King of Holland, Gaye (Don) Terwillegar of Midland; grandchildren, Marlow King, Brandon (Kristin) King, Tara Terwillegar and Todd Terwillegar; great grandchildren, Dane and Ryder King; cousins, Gayla Vannest Jacobson, Russell Vannest and Steven Wildes. A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, June 22, 2012, 4:00 p.m. at Messiah Lutheran Church, 1550 S. Poseyville Rd., with Pastor Kurt Weber officiating. A private burial service will take place at Homer Township Cemetery.The family will receive friends at the church from 3:00 pm until the time of the service.In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider Messiah Lutheran Church.Smith-Miner Funeral Home, 2700 W.
