Delores “Dee” Irish, 80, of Midland, died at the Toni and Trish House in Auburn on May 2, 2011 with her loving husband and family at her side. Dee was born in Zilwaukee on July 30, 1930 to the late Joyce (Bigger) and Dwight Delaney. On Jan 6, 1950 she married her sweetheart Kenneth “Bud” Irish in Freeland. Dee was an avid golfer. She enjoyed traveling and spending her winters in Florida. She will be greatly missed by her family. Dee is survived by her husband Bud; daughters, Linda Borsaw (Dick Jennings) of Lake Worth, FL., Sue (Bryan) Hopkins of Carrolton; son, Mike (Carol) Irish of Midland; grandchildren, Ken and Eric Irish, Christopher and Stephen Hopkins, Amber (Sam) Carbone, Shannon (Jeff) Cihocki; sister, Ellen Peterson of Midland; sister-in-law, Elaine Delaney. Dee was predeceased by her brother Jim and brother-in-law Bob Peterson. A Funeral Service will be held at 3:00 pm on Thursday, May 5 at Smith-Miner Funeral Home, 2700 W. Wackerly with Pastor Gerald Ferguson officiating. Dee’s family will receive friends at the Funeral Home, on Thursday, May 5, from 1:30 pm until the time of service.
