DeWayne Henry ?Ç£Stub?Ç¥ Steinhoff, 76, of Rochester, New York, left us peacefully on Monday, March 7, 2016. He was born in Bay City on June 4, 1939 to the late Wayne and Virginia (Hall) Steinhoff. On July 3, 1965 he married Sharon Lipan.DeWayne served in the United States Air Force for twenty years. After military retirement he relocated to Southern California and worked for a small company manufacturing power conditioning systems. Throughout the years his interests revolved around home projects and family activities. He enjoyed football and bowling and later more than anything else ?Çô his grandchildren.DeWayne is survived by his wife of 50 years, Sharon, his daughters, Teresa Hall and Julie Steinhoff, his son, John (Lisa) Steinhoff, eight grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother, Richard (Joanne) Steinhoff and three sisters, Carol Sylvester, Sandy (Don) Hughes, Sally (Dan) Sylvester; three brothers-in-law, Kip Fuller, Les Behmlander, Ervin ?Ç£Cookie?Ç¥ Kuch, two sisters-in-law, Ellen Steinhoff, Kathy Vermillion and one former sister-in-law Jill Buehl plus many loving nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Wayne & Virginia Steinhoff and step-father, Frank Shimunec; three sisters, LaDoris Fuller, Joyce Behmlander, Judy Kuch, one brother, John Steinhoff and one brother-in-law, Lyle Sylvester.A memorial service will take place at the Smith Miner Funeral Home in Midland on Friday, March 18th at 11:00 am with Pastor Wayne Shidler officiating.
