Don passed away on May 28, 2021, with his partner, Marilyn Allan, at his side. Born in Chicago, Illinois, on October 31, 1945, Don graduated from Lane Technical High School and served his country in the U.S. Army in Germany, Vietnam, and stateside. He became an air traffic controller and later pursued a degree in Electrical Engineering Technology at Purdue University.  He worked the rest of his career as a project manager at General Motors. He is preceded in death by his parents, Michael and Christine (Huminicki) Neumann and his wives, Beverly Schwartz Neumann and Maridel Howe Neumann. 

He is survived by his fiancée, Marilyn, sister Diane (Ken) Geach, niece Jennifer (Mat) Fahrenkrug and numerous cousins, brothers and sisters-in-law, nephews, and nieces.  Don was a great lover of animals so many pets, both cats and dogs, were part of his life.  He also loved being “up north” in Michigan, enjoying the company of friends and family and watching his golden retriever, Annie, romp and swim.

A memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please consider an act of kindness for animals in Don’s memory.
