Donald Steenhagen went home to be with the Lord on January 17, 2021. He was born on March 28, 1931 to the late Henry and Minnie (Cincush) Steenhagen.


Donald served in the United States Navy for 22 years. He loved country music and play many instruments. He enjoyed building things and tinkering in his workshop. Donald was an avid photographer and loved traveling and camping.


Donald is survived by his children; Donald Steenhagen, Jr., Stephen Steenhagen, Mike (Kathy) Steenhagen, Mark Steenhagen, Ann Steenhagen and Sharon Finnigan, step children, Diane (Brendan) Crane, Darlene Fuller, Donald Hasse, 18 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren. He is also survived by his siblings, Barb Smith, Pat Pawlinko, sister-in-law, Nancy Byce and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife of 32 years in 2011, Shirley Steenhagen, grandson, Donald Steenhagen, III, step children, Dale Hasse, David Hasse, and siblings, Bill Steenhagen, Ken Steenhagen, and Alice Lakotos.


Cremation has taken place and services will be announced soon. Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider MidMichigan Hospice or American Legion.
