Doris M. McAnallen, 94, of Midland and St. Petersburg, FL, died at Tendercare of Midland on Dec. 30, 2010. Doris was born in Mesick, MI on Feb. 27, 1916 to the late Don W. and Millie (Aldrick) Marsh. Doris was a blessed woman and had the opportunity to be married to two wonderful men, the late George Popps and the late Charles L. McAnallen. Doris was a member of the Eagles Club and the Moose Lodge. She also loved embroidering, traveling, visits from grandchildren and family gatherings. Doris is survived by her daughters, Marjorie (Jim) Oldham of Midland, Kay J. Popps of Midland; son, Raymond G. (Mavis) Popps of Appleton, WI; 17 grandchildren, 35 great grandchildren and numerous great great grandchildren; sister, Joan (Eugene) Carlson of BellAire Beach, FL; brother, Kenneth Marsh of National City and many nieces and nephews. Doris was predeceased by her son, Russell E. Popps; daughter and son-in-law Wanita (Orley) Fritz; brothers and sister-in-law, John (Billie) Marsh, Don Marsh; sisters, Edith Edmund and Frances Keeman. A Funeral Service will be held at Smith-Miner Funeral Home, 2700 W. Wackerly, on Monday, January 3, 2011 at 11:00 am with Pastor Dan Youmans officiating. The family will receive visitors at the Funeral Home on Sunday, Jan. 2 from 4 til 6 pm and on Monday from 9 am until the time of the service.
