Eleanor A. Havers, 81, of Midland, died peacefully at home, on Feb. 12, 2012. Eleanor was born on Jan. 28, 1931, in Rogers City, to the late Alonzo and Ruby (Cooper) Booth. Eleanor was a Nurses Aid for many years, retiring from MidMichigan Hospital. She was an avid crocheter, especially making doilies and afghans, and she loved gardening. Eleanor is survived by her daughters, Diana (Rollin) Dougherty, Kathy (John) Newell of Cayce, SC; grandchildren, Russ (Ruby) Dougherty of Kinston, NC, Shelby Dougherty, Jason (Brandi) Havers of Branson, MO, Phillip, Anthony and Justin Newell of Dalonega, GA, Travis Windt; great grandchildren, Dylan and Chance Havers; sisters, Edna Bentley, Dolly Tolles; brothers, Lyle (Marcy) Booth, Orville (Sharon) Booth and Ray (Alice) Booth. Eleanor was predeceased by her children, Mary Ann, Connie, Bob; sisters, Loretta Schaedig, Barbara Booth and her brother Harvey Booth. A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, Feb. 15, 2012 at Smith-Miner Funeral Home, 2700 W. Wackerly with Pastor Jody Ellis officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 9 am until the time of the service.
