Elsie Braun Jezowski, 96, of Midland, died on Saturday, June 4, 2011, at Brittany Manor. She was born on January 23, 1915, in Uwarovka Russian to the late Otto and Mary (Gretzinger) Braun. The family immigrated to the United States in 1928. She married Frank Jezowski on November 26, 1938, in Auburn. He preceded her in death on June 10, 2001. Elsie was a homemaker who enjoyed baking delicious goodies and raising beautiful flowers all of which she gladly shared with others. She also worked in the cafeteria for Midland Public Schools. She was a charter member of Calvary Baptist Church where she served in many capacities. She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Lanny and Donna Jezowski of Midland, and Ron and Coralee Jezowski of East Columbia, S.C.; her grandchildren, Jon (Angela) Jezowski, Jennifer (Jeremy) Van Delinder, Nancy (Larry) Evans, Judith (David) Yacoviello and nine great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister Elaine (C. Roland) of Houston, TX; sisters-in-law, Ruth Braun, Betty Braun, Muriel Braun and Vera Braun. She was preceded in death by her sister Margaret and brothers Reinhold, Berthold, Adolph, Arthur, Gustave, Donald, Arnhold and Arnold. A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, June 9 at Calvary Baptist Church with Reverend Doctor Dan Dickerson and Reverend Paul Murphrey officiating. Elsie’s family will receive friends at Smith-Miner Funeral Home, 2700 W. Wackerly, on Wednesday, June 8, from 4 until 7 pm and at the Church on Thursday from 10 am until the time of service.
