Francis Livsey, 87, of Midland, died at his home on Tuesday, Jan. 22, 2013. Francis was born on April 13, 1925 in Chatham, Ontario Canada to the late Sherman F. Livsey and Olive (McKnight) Livsey. On Feb. 6, 1954 he married his sweetheart Natalie McCormick at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in West Branch . Francis served his country honorably and courageously in the US. Navy during World War II. He was a member of St. Brigid’s Catholic Church. Francis was an avid golfer and loved fly fishing. Francis is survived by his loving wife Natalie; daughters, Ann (Dennis) Orrey of Brentwood, CA, Laura (David) Naudi of Brighton, MI, Amy (David) Sommer of Midland; grandchildren, Jonathan Naudi, Jeffrey (Emily) Naudi, Brandon Lehr (Brandon Andrew) , Ashley Lehr, Bradley Sommer, Brendan Sommer, Stephen Sommer, Scott Sommer; great grandchildren, Carter Naudi, Elise Naudi; and his sister in law Ruth Livsey of Naples, FL. He was predeceased by his parents, Sherman and Olive and his brother, Keith Livsey A Funeral Liturgy will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, January 25, 2013 at St. Brigid’s of Kildare Catholic Church with Father Patrick O’Connor Liturgent. The family will receive friends at Smith-Miner Funeral Home, 2700 W. Wackerly on Thursday, Jan. 24 from 3 until 7 pm. and on Friday at the Church from 10:00 am until the time of the service. Military Honors will be under the auspices of the U.S. Navy and the Midland County Veterans.
