(Jan. 8, 1961 – Dec. 18, 2014)

Gary T. Gransden of Howell, Michigan, formerly of Edenville, Michigan, died Thursday, December 19, 2014, at his home. Gary was born January 8, 1961 to Galen and the late Margaret (Smith) Gransden. Gary spent over 25 years in senior management positions directing casino facilities maintenance and managing several building projects. He was directly involved with the construction and expansion of six major hotels and casino resorts. This work took him all over the country and eventually back to his home state of Michigan in 1999 as the Director of Facilities Maintenance for the Motor City Casino. Gary was a dedicated son, brother, brother-in-law, uncle, and friend. Gary was blessed with a kind and outgoing demeanor. He was bright, articulate, had a great sense of humor and could hold a conversation with anyone from any walk of life. Gary looked forward to the time he could spend in the Upper Peninsula. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt, fish, and camp. He especially treasured the times he could enjoy those activities with his nieces and nephew. Gary is survived by his father, Galen Gransden; brother, Glen Gransden; brother and sister-in-law, Keith and Bridgette Gransden; nieces, Alaina Gransden and Natalie Gransden; and nephew Gabriel Gransden; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his mother, Margaret Gransden. Following Gary?ÇÖs wishes, cremation has already taken place. A private family interment will happen at a later date.
