Gertrude “Gert” M. Wenglikowski, 93, of Midland, passed away on October 22, 2017 at home surrounded by her family. She was born on April 27, 1924 in Clarksburg, West Virginia to Ignac and Marie (Pirok) Klozik. On November 11, 1945 she married Floyd Wenglikowski who predeceased her.

Gert was a Michigan Bell telephone operator. She enjoyed gardening, was a member of the Ladies of Blessed Sacrament Church, and was a supporter of the Midland Humane Society.

Gert is survived by her children; Rick (Mira), Phyllis (Tim) Blackhurst, Mary Jo (Mark) Tadman, Floyd (Katherine), Paul (Elizabeth Szymanski) Brenda (Ron) Bricker, 22 grandchildren and 24 ½ great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister Angeline Berge.

Gert was predeceased by her daughter Karen Weber, and brothers, Marty and Paul.

A Funeral service will be at 10:30 AM on Friday, October 27, 2017 at Blessed Sacrament of Midland with Fr. Jack Johnson officiating. Friends may visit with the family at Smith-Miner Funeral Home on Thursday, October 26th from 4-7 pm and on Friday at the church from 9:30 am until the time of service. Burial will take place at New Calvary Cemetery following services.
