Harriet Ann Hutchenreuther, 87, of Midland, died Sunday May 17, 2009. The daughter of the late Katherine and Charles Hawkins was born on April 30, 1922 in Saginaw. Harriet was raised, educated, and attended secretarial school in Saginaw. Harriet worked for a Bay City dentist. She was an active Red Cross helper and a Saginaw Valley College Volunteer. Harriet was a member of Z.O.E., many bridge clubs, and the Memorial Presbyterian Church. Harriet is survived by Charles her husband of 66 years; brother Jim Hawkins of Saginaw; son, Mark of Oceana, CA; daughter, Ann (Chris) of Carrolton, TX; grandsons, Ryan and Andrew of Carrolton, TX; niece Anne Hawkins-Badge of Alma and several nephews and a niece from Detroit and Cleveland. Harriet was preceded in death by her brother Norm Hawkins and sister Jean Hawkins. A Memorial Service will be held at Memorial Presbyterian Church on Thursday, May 21 at 11:00 am. The family will receive friends at the church from 10:00 am until the time of the service. The family will have a private interment at a later time.
