Helen was a precious angel in my life back in Sparta, Michigan, when I was in a very hard place. She noticed me and offered safety, encouragement and the love of Jesus when I was alone and experiencing rejection and judgement. I had tried to find her several years ago but was not successful and am sad to not have been able to thank her in person for what she did for me when I was a teenager. I look forward to thanking her in heaven!

I thank God for putting Helen and Bill in my life. I knew them both from a young age as they were friends of my parents. I look forward to seeing them both again in heaven.

Helen was so encouraging to me several times at Sunrise. When my infant child made noise during service and I tried to hush her, Helen pulled me aside and said how wonderful it was to hear the sound of young people in the church. She took time to meet with me for lunch, and she took time to share her story. I’m so thankful to have known her, although our paths only crossed briefly. She was a remarkable woman, strong in her faith.

Helen & Bill were tremendous blessings to Trinity Baptist Church. They touched so many lives for the Lord. Helen encouraged & nurtured me as I grew in my relationship with our Lord. She would lift me up & guide me. Each of my children have special memories of how their lives were influenced by Bill & Helen. I am so thankful that I was able to visit with her in Midland a couple years ago. It is a special memory I will cherish. I am so sorry for your loss, but rejoice that she is out of pain & in the presence of her Lord & Savior. May the Lord comfort you knowing how much you will miss her. She loved her family very much. With love & sympathy…….Carol De Man
