Jack Turner Moore, 81, of Midland, passed away on January 20, 2017 at Avielle Haven, Midland. He was born December 3, 1935 in Midland to the late John H. and Nina (Holdried) Moore-Lambert. He also had a second father who predeceased him Rolland Lambert. On November 25, 1972, he married Katherine Steinka. Jack served his country in the United States Air Force during the Korean War serving four years and was very proud of being in the Army National Guard for 19 years where he proudly served during operation Desert Shield and Desert Storm. He worked as Pipefitter and Insulator in Dow Chemical and Retired in 1994. Jack was member of the Good Sam Camper club and Allegro Camping Group. Jack was an avid car guy and love rebuilding engines and also love his yard and taken care of it. Jack was a lifetime member of Homer United Methodist Church. Jack is survived by his wife, Katherine and children; Jack Jr (Tracy) Moore, Guy (Linda) Moore and Tracey (Steve) Howard, and Kevin Moore, Daughter In-Law Lori Moore, grandchildren; Nathaniel, Jason, Zachariah, Amanda and Amber. Two greatgrandchildren. Sister Sue (Jerry) Hanson, Several Nieces, Nephews, Brothers in-law and Sisters in-law and a very special like daughter Cheryl (Dean) Fick (Shane, Sean, Shannon, Samuel). And his Cat L. Lucy.A Funeral Service will take place at Smith-Miner Funeral Home on Tuesday, January 24, 2017 at 2:00 pm with Pastor Luke Hansen of Trinity Wesleyan Church officiating. Friends may visit with the family on Tuesday from 11:00 am until the time of service.
