Jimmy Lee Lang, 45, passed away in his sleep in the early morning hours of February 22, 2021. He was born November 16th, 1975, to Walter ‘Buddy’ and Cynthia Dawn (Titus) Lang in Huntington, WV. He was raised in Chesapeake Ohio and graduated from Chesapeake High School in 1994. Through a series of events Jimmy found himself in jail. There he read the Bible and gave his life to the Lord. His life was changed from that moment on; he wanted to live his life honoring his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. He earned a bachelor’s degree in Leadership and Ministry from Ohio Christian University. Later, he earned a Masters of Theology from Liberty University.
Jimmy met his wife Carmen at Kentucky Mountain Bible College and they married December 29th, 2001, before transferring to Ohio Christian University. He pastored Raisin Center Friends Church in Adrian, Michigan for 6 years. Jimmy pastored Bethel Brethren in Christ Church of Merrill, Michigan for 11 years.
Jimmy was a man who stood for what he believed. The Bible was the main manual for life. He preached the word of God as it was written, even if it was not popular. Jimmy loved his wife and each child that God sent them. He loved spending time with his family doing outdoor activities like fishing, camping, and hiking. He often took time to take each daughter out on dates for individual time. Later he included his sons.
Jimmy is survived by his parents (Walter and Cynthia Lang) of Chesapeake, Ohio, his siblings; Annette (Michael Cline) and their children, Andrew and Anthony Cline, Kent (Katrina) and Keven (Kristina) Lang and their children, Hannah and Brandon Lang. His wife Carmen and their nine children Bethany (age 18) Rebekah (age 16) Abigail (age 13) Hosanna (age 10) Hadassa (age 7) Jimmy Jr. (age 5) Conrad and Delilah (three-year-old twins) and a three-month-old infant John; aunts Jewel (Titus) Alexander Cheryl (Paul Setzer) Titus and Maxine (Cliff Musgrave) Lang and Uncles Harvey (Katie) Lang and Duane Titus. He was preceded in death by his grandparents Herbert and Thelma (Searls) Lang, Frank and Ruby (Lake) Titus, and his aunt Linda Lafon (Lang).
Jimmy was loved very much by all those who knew him and will be sorely missed.
A memorial service will be held for Jimmy at Floyd Church of God on Friday, February 26, 2021 at 11 am with visitation preceding at 9:30 am. The committal will take place Monday at 1 pm at the Raisin Valley Friends Church Cemetery in Adrian, Michigan.
