John David Wilt, 52, died at the MidMichigan Medical Center-Midland Emergency Room, on April 21, 2010. John was born in Detroit on Jan. 17, 1958 to Marilyn and Ed Wilt. On Aug. 8, 1986 in Mt. Clements he married his soul mate Maria Ogden whom he had known for over 10 years and they have been happily married for 24 years. John graduated from MSU in 1981 in Marketing and worked for and eventually owned Wagner Sales, a manufacturers’ representative company. For the past 8 yrs. he has worked for Adcole Corp. as their V.P. of North American Sales. He was a member of ABVM Catholic Church and was member of the Knights of Columbus. John enjoyed riding his Goldwing, boating, fishing, hunting, scuba diving and he had his pilot’s license. John enjoyed life and watching his children play soccer, ice skate, sing and act. He would volunteer to build sets for Peanut Gallery and TMI, he loved to participate in the K of C Tootsie roll drive. He loved to tell stories and thought he was very funny even if no one else did. But mostly John loved his family. He never wanted to be far away from them. He burst with pride in everything Megan and Paul did. John is survived by his wife Maria of Midland; daughter, Megan of Midland; son, Paul of Midland; mother, Marilyn Wilt; father, Ed (Jo) Wilt; brother, Jim (Heidi) Wilt; sisters, Barb (Mark) Mendola, Donna (Mark) Boroway; sisters-in-law, Patti (Tony) Lico, Sue (Emil) Verbecke; brother-in-law, John (Carolyn) Ogden; multiple nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. A Funeral Liturgy will be held at Assumption BVM Catholic Church on Saturday, April 24, at 11:00 am with Father Rick Filary officiating. The family will receive friends at Smith-Miner Funeral Home, 2700 W. Wackerly, on Fri. April 23 from 4 to 7 pm and at the church from 10am until the time of the service.
