John H. Glasgow, 90, of Midland, passed away on June 17, 2017 surrounded by his family at MidMichigan Medical Center. He was born on June 24, 1926 in Midland, MI to the late John and Anna Mae (Engle) Glasgow.
John faithfully served his country in the United States Army during WWII. John worked at Dow Chemical Company as an Operator/Repairman retiring in 1979. He enjoyed farming, gardening, building and working in his workshop. He was an avid collector.
John is survived by his siblings, Helen (Melvin) Moening, Reva “Joan” Benson, nephews, Barry (Nancy) Brannan, John Moening and numerous other nieces and nephews.
John was predeceased by his siblings, Marjorie Sias, Jean Dowker, Dorothy Smith, Donald Glasgow and Keith Glasgow.
A Funeral Service will take place at Smith-Miner Funeral Home on Thursday, June 22, 2017 at 1:00 pm with Rev. Josh Blanchard of Homer United Methodist Church officiating. Friends may visit with the family on Thursday, at the funeral home, from 12:00 Noon until the time of service. Burial will take place at Homer Township Cemetery. Military honors will be under the auspices of the United States Army and Midland County Veterans.
