Joseph W. Thorington, 51, of Sanford passed away on June 28, 2020. He was born on March 31, 1969 to John and Janice (Yates) Thorington.

Joe worked for GEI and Central Concrete Placement. He enjoyed hunting, fishing softball and music. Joe was a Red Wings hockey fan and loved his family and grandkids.

Joe is survived by his mother, Janice, children, Ryan (Jessa) Willford, Brooke Young, Kasey (Paul) Young, grandchildren, Logan, Evan, AnnMarie, Aria, Elizabeth and Isabelle. He is also survived by his siblings, John, Joan Brown, Jeremy, sister-in-law, Brenda, and many nieces and nephews.   He was predeceased by his father, John, daughter, Caitlin, brother, Jeff and sister, Vicki.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, July 9, 2020 at Church of Daniel’s Band Campground, 3362 S. Croll Road, Beaverton, 48612 with Pastor Jim Hoggard officiation. Friends may visit with the family from 10 am until the time of service. Burial will take place at Butnam Twp Cemetery.
