Josephine Louise Draves, 85, of Midland, passed away on Tuesday, May 31, 2016 at Plainview Senior Living. She was born in Detroit on February 23, 1931, the daughter of the late Clarence and Louise M. (Bravot) Lince. On July 22, 1950 she married Fenton A. Draves who preceded her in death on October 28, 2002. Josephine?ÇÖs hobbies included sewing, crocheting, knitting and ceramics. She was a member and librarian of the Midland Music Society for over 50 years and performed at Carnegie Hall. She was also a member of Messengers of Note and traveled around performing for senior living homes around the area. Josephine loved dancing and music, playing the piano, and walking the Mackinaw Bridge. She also enjoyed golfing, putting together puzzles, bowling, bike riding, and canning fruits and vegetables. She was a long time member of St. Brigid of Kildare Church and was a Daughters of Isabella where she held many offices and positions including Regent. She was an avid Tigers and Pistons Fan.Josephine is survived by her daughter, Rhonda (Richard) Siefke, sons, Rod (Janet), Gary (Cindy) and Marty (Nita) Draves, 8 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.Josephine was predeceased by her brothers and sisters, Bernice Molkenthin, Clarence Lince, and Doris WoodcockA funeral liturgy will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 7th at St. Brigid of Kildare with Fr. Pat O?ÇÖ Connor officiating. Friends may visit with the family at Smith-Miner Funeral Home on Monday, June 6th from 4-7 p.m. with a vigil service 6:30 p.m. and at the church on Tuesday from 10 a.m. until the time of service. The family of Josephine wishes to thank the caregivers at Plainview Senior Living in Auburn and Joy and Louise from Hometown Hospice.
