Judith M. Brigham, 73, of Midland, passed away on November 25, 2017 at MidMichigan Medical Center. She was born on March 19, 1944 to the late Merle and Lucille (Harrison) Smith in Lima, OH. On February 17, 1968 she married Charles Lee Brigham in Battle Creek, Michigan.
Judy was employed as a manager in laundry and housekeeping at MidMichigan Medical Center for 20 years until her retirement in 1992. She enjoyed reading, the summertimes up north on the lakes and sunning and fishing with her husband, taking care of her flowers and plants her trips to the casino, and watching her beloved Detroit Tigers. She held close to her heart the many visits with her brother Jim and talks with her sister-in-law Eileen. Her favorite time of the year is the Christmas Season, which she was so looking forward to and also celebrating her 50th Wedding Anniversary in February.
Judith is survived by her husband, Charles, children, Dean (Josie) Brigham, Tracy (Chad) Cousineau, and Scott (Lorina) Crispell. Brothers, Jim (Eileen) Smith and Doug Smith. Nieces and nephews, Padra (Emmitt) St. John, Malinda Smith, Shawn Smith, Randy Smith and Jessica (Jim) Wressel; several close and extended family members in Battle Creek, Ohio and Traverse City Area; and all her dearest close friends.
Judy was a straight shooter, she was highly respected for that and anyone who came in contact with her was drawn in for life. She loved nothing more than her family. She was a very loving wife, the best mother and sister anyone could have, she will be deeply missed.
A memorial service will be held at Smith-Miner Funeral Home on Friday, December 1, 2017 at 6:30 pm with Chaplain Roger Stauffer of MidMichigan Health officiating. Friends may visit with the family on Friday from 4:00 pm until the time of service.
