June Elizabeth Reid June E. Reid, loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother of Hope, Michigan went to be with the Lord on November 29, 2015. June was born June 15, 1924 in Hope, MI to the late Floyd and Phebia (Bates) Schearer. On June 23, 1945 she married Benjamin H. Reid who predeceased her on December 7, 1995 June was a graduate of Beaverton High School. She worked for Dow Chemical building artillery shells during World War II and Meridian Public Schools for 10 years. She was a faithful member of Open Door Baptist Church. She and her husband traveled to Florida several years for the winter and enjoyed travelling around the United States and Canada. June loved to read, sew and crochet. She will be sorely missed by her loving family.She is survived by her daughters Linda (Roger) Francis of New Hampshire and Patricia Such of Midland. Her sister Leatha Fahrner of Auburn and her special sister Elneda (Richard) Shady of Idaho. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, Lorrie Francis, Paul (Kristina) Francis, Mark (Colleen) Francis, April (Gary) McKee, Matthew (Melissa) Such, Aaron Such, Ryan (Colleen) Such, Rheannon (Jason) Manarchuck, Benjamin (Kathy) Reid, Brittni (Gabriel) Radcliffe and 14 great grandchildren.June was preceded in death by her husband of fifty years, Benjamin H. Reid, son Benjamin J. Reid and brother-in-law Ron Fahrner. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 3, 2015 at Open Door Baptist Church with Pastor Jody Ellis officiating. Friends may visit with the family at the funeral home on Wednesday, December 2, 2015 from 4-7 p.m. and on Thursday from 10 a.m. until time of service.
