Welcome to Smith Miner

Kandis Kay Seymour born August 18th 1948 to Jean Ellen Harmon Frankini and father Richard A. Frankini.

Kandis began her life with relatives while her mother finished her Masters’ Degree, then moving to Flint at age three and a half. Kandis graduated from Grand Blanc High School in 1966. She then married Gerald M. Seymour in 1969. They had two children, son Michael (Anne) Seymour, grandsons Trent, Austin and Blake, daughter Kari Jean (Randy) Schoff, granddaughter Lola, grandson Gerald.

Kandis worked many years in the dental field with Dr. Robert Billand of Gladwin, Dr. Elden Bailey and Dr. Donald LeBlanc of Midland. She was one of the founding members of Imagine That artist co-op downtown Midland, which is in its fifteenth year. She enjoyed working in many mediums but in the last few years began quilting with the help of many friends and family members. She loved color and many of her quilts show that love.

A funeral service will be held at 11am on Tuesday December 31, 2019 at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church with Fr. Robert Howe officiating. Visitation will be on Tuesday at the church from 10am until time of service.

In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider the American Cancer Society.
