Kazuko N. Spraull, 94, died on Thursday, September 25, 2014 at MidMichigan Medical Center. Kazuko was born on July 12, 1920 in Suao, Taiwan to the late Gisuke and Kono(Shingo) Yokoo. Kazuko was married to Kazuhisa Fukuda who predeceased during WWII. Kazuko then married Richard D. Spraull who preceded her in death on December 3, 1973.”I lost a wonderful Mother, yesterday morning, September 25th. Kazuko Spraull strove and accomplished many things in her 94 years.She hosted her MCTV television exercise show, Kazercise, was a professional photographer, swam a mile a day, walked 4 miles a day, all until she was 86 years old. She in my inspiration. We will miss her very much.Her name Kazuko, mean peace, harmony. Her autobiography is titled “My Journey Towards Peace.” Kazuko has now completed her journey.”Kazuko is survived by her daughters; Mary (David) Spraull, Betty Spraull Goodwin, Chizuko (Michael) Donovan and Midori (Don) Liu, grandchildren; Jason Donovan, Justin (Kelly) Donovan, J. Prescott Goodwin, Eric (Karen) Liu and Lisa (Jim) Grady. She is also survived by three sisters; Yorie, Hiroko and Shigeti. A Memorial Service will be held at Smith-Miner Funeral Home on Wednesday, October 1, 2014 at 6:30pm with Monty Mondeau officiating.
