Keahialani Kummer, passed away unexpectedly on August 20, 2018 at the University of Michigan Hospital in Ann Arbor. She was born on October 18, 1952 in Honolulu, Hawaii to Jamie and Queenie (Ventura) Dowsett. On April 6, 1988 she married Robert W. Kummer Jr.
Keahialani loved spending time spoiling her granddaughter. She enjoyed traveling, shopping and attending volleyball games with her daughter. She was an avid horseback rider with her dad in Hawaii when she was younger. She loved decorating for the holidays, and family gatherings, she enjoyed car races with her husband.
Keahialani is survived by her husband, Robert, daughter Kahailani (Adam) Bradley, and
granddaughter, Kaile. She is also survived by her mother, Queenie Dowsett, and siblings, Alika (Aleta) Dowsett, Kawika Dowsett, Poomai Dowsett and Mealani (David) Morgan. She was predeceased by her father, Jamie Dowsett and grandson Kainoa Quon.
A Celebration of Life will take place Wednesday, August 29th from 5-7pm at Smith-Miner Funeral Home; 2700 West Wackerly, Midland, MI 48640. Burial will be in Hawaii at a later date. Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider the family in her name.
