Kenneth F. Hutfilz, 92, of Midland passed away Tuesday morning, Dec. 23, 2014. He was born on September 2, 1922 in Bay City, Michigan to the late Ernest and Anna (Warner) Hutfilz. In June of 1949 Kenneth married his wife, Ruth (Huseman) Hutfilz who predeceased him on March 23, 2009Kenneth served in the United States Marine Corps, Third Division, during World War II. He was stationed in Bougainville, Guadalcanal, and the island of Guam and was honorably discharged in 1948. Kenneth enjoyed hunting, fishing, reading, and watching the Tigers.Kenneth was a member of St. John?ÇÖs Lutheran Church and the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Hemlock Post.Kenneth is survived by his son James of Palm Springs, California and a sister, Marian (Pickelman) Curtis, of Largo Florida.Kenneth was preceded in death by two brothers, Edgar and Clarence, and a sister Vera (Hutfilz) Diehl.A private graveside service was held at Midland Memorial Gardens.Memorials may be given to the Aleda E.
