Lillian Opal Wyman, 86, of Midland, MI, died Monday morning , May 24, 2010, at the home of her daughter in Naperville, IL. Lillian was born Sept. 28, 1923 in Beaverton, MI to Herbert and Linnie French. After graduating from the Beaverton Rural Agricultural School in 1942, she moved to Midland and worked for Dow Chemical before she married Robert Wyman on July 21, 1946 in Beaverton. He preceded her in death in Sept. of 1983 Lillian leaves daughter Jill (Terrance) Maney; two granddaughters, Sarah (Javier) Furst-Chavira , Jenel Furst; step grandson, Scott Maney; and two great granddaughters. She also leaves sisters, Lavern Hitsman and Vivian Shaffer, sister-in-law Shirley French; two brothers, Jim French and Leonard French. She was predeceased by her husband of 37 years Robert L. Wyman, brother Clark French; sisters Marion Rooker and Maxine Koch. Lillian was a member of the Homer United Methodist Church and the Rebekah Lodge. She worked at Sears for 14 years. Lillian cherished her family above all pursuits. She loved the nature that surrounded her home through all seasons of the year. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Thursday, May 27 at the Smith-Miner Funeral Home, 2700 W. Wackerly Rd. with the Pastor Dave Mulder of the Homer United Methodist Church officiating. A burial will follow at the Homer Township Cemetery. The Family will receive friends at the Funeral Home on Thursday from 10:00 until the time of the service.
