Lloyd “Edd” Anderson, 70, of Midland, died unexpectedly, on Feb. 20, 2012. Edd was born on Jan. 23, 1942, in Midland County to the late Lloyd and Gail (Strauch) Anderson. On May 14, 1966 Edd married his sweetheart Janice Gay in Sanford. Edd’s passion was his grandchildren, as well as watching sports and motorcycle racing. Edd is survived by his loving wife Janice; son, Steve and LeighAnn Anderson of Sanford their children, Nattiel (Xavier and Isaih), Shelby, Gaetan; son, Marvin and Laurie Anderson of Midland and their children, Kelci and Turner; daughter Holly and Mark Grice of Sanford and their children Alyssa and Maticka; brothers and sisters, Walter (Carol) Anderson of Nevada, Janet and Woody Woodruff of Sanford, Gail Mueller and the late Tony Mueller of Georgia, Patty Anderson of Gladwin; in-laws, Kenny and Susie Gay of Sanford, Ron and Julie Looper of Midland, Sandy Gay and the late Dennis Gay of Sanford; and lots of nieces, nephews and close friends. Edd was predeceased by grandson Steven Marvin Anderson; mother-in-law Ann Gay; father-in-law Harold Gay; sister, Doris Anderson and his best friend, Marvin Miller. A Memorial Gathering will be held 2 til 4 pm on Sunday, Feb. 26, 2012 at Swanton Hall in Edenville. Private burial will take place at Jerome Township Cemetery at a later date.
