On August 18, 2011, Lucille passed away peacefully in her home. Lucille was born November 7, 1919. Lucille is best remembered as a person who always saw the good in people. She was generous and was most happy when she was giving to others. She worked closely with her organist and music director husband and both were known to many in St. Brigid, St Agnes, and St. Anthony parishes. She enjoyed working with her hands doing carpentry, quilting and gardening throughout the years. Lucille is survived by her children Bernard (Beverly), James (Patricia), Mary Jane (Patrick Ryan), Diane, Thomas, Anne Marie (Peter Case) and Joseph (Barbara). She was the oldest of 9 children and is also survived by her sister, Joanne (Fred) Reeves; brother, Edward (Jeanne) Zondlak, and many cousins, nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and great grandchildren and 3 great, great grandchildren.Lucille was preceded in death by her husband Louis and her son David (Linda). A Funeral Liturgy will be held at 10:00 am on Monday, Aug. 22, 2011 at St. Brigid’s Catholic Church, with Father Patrick C. O’Conner and Deacon Aloysius Oliver officiating. The family will receive friends at Smith-Miner Funeral Home, 2700 W. Wackerly on Sunday, Aug. 21, from 4:30 pm to 7:00 pm at which time a Vigil Service will be held, and on Monday at the Church from 9:00 am until the time of the service. A reception will be held afterward in the St. Brigid Parish Hall. Burial will take place at New Calvary Cemetery.
