Lucille T. Lefler, age 93, of Midland passed away peacefully on September 7, 2015. She was born in Akron, Mi. on April 23, 1922 to the late Henry and Katherine (Schnon) Thiel. Lucille married Harold V. Lefler on May 15, 1942 in Midland. Harold predeceased her August 14, 2000. Lucille is survived by her sons; Harold III (Sandee) Lefler, John (Marilynn) Lefler and Richard (Carol) Lefler. Nine Grandchildren and Ten Great grandchildren. She was predeceased by a son Tom Lefler: 3 brothers and 3 sisters. In younger years Lucille worked for the Dow Chemical Co., and the office of Senator Lynn O. Francis. Lucille and her husband owned and operated Lefler Outboard Sales, which was founded on Gordon St. and later moved to its location on Airport Rd. in 1968. Lucille loved to sew beautiful clothes for her grandchildren and herself. Cookie decorating at Grandma?ÇÖs house was a favorite tradition.She wintered in the South, loved to play golf and was an avid Bridge player.Lucille was a member of St John?ÇÖs Lutheran Church and the Lydia Guild of St. Johns. A Funeral Service will take place on Friday, September 11, 2015 at The St. John?ÇÖs Lutheran Church at 11:00 am with Rev. Daniel Kempin officiating. Friends can visit with the family on Thursday from 5 until 7 pm at Smith-Miner Funeral Home and at the church from 10:00 am until the time of service.
