Mary Bartos, 79, of Midland, died at her home on Sept. 30, 2010. Mary was born in Midland on June 30, 1931 to the late Anna (Valent) Steve Radosa. Mary married her sweetheart, George Bartos, on Nov. 10, 1951. Mary worked for Jackson Ins. Co. for over 10 years. She volunteered at MidMichgan Hospital and was very involved in 4-H. She love gardening, sewing, flowers, cake decorating and collecting for the March of Dimes. Mary was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother all her life, who dearly loved her family and friends. Mary is survived by her beloved husband George; daughters, Diane (Jim White) Bartos of Rochester Hills, Denise Bartos of Midland, Darlene Page of Snohomish, WA, Danette Bartos of Shelby Township; grandchildren, Kirsten, Drew, Kyle; sisters, Anna (Edward) Badour of Midland, Rose (Gary) Verbowski of Midland, Margaret (Duane) Noack of Midland and many nieces and nephews. Mary was predeceased by her sister Betty Darland. A Funeral Liturgy will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 5, at 10:00 am at Assumption BVM Catholic Church with Father Kevin Maksym officiating . The family will receive friends at Smith-Miner Funeral Home, 2700 W. Wackerly, on Monday Oct. 4 from 4 to 7 pm and on Tuesday at the church from 9:00 until the time of the service. A Vigil Service will be held at the funeral home at 6:30 pm on Monday. Interment will take place at New Calvary Cemetery.
