Our dear neighbor Michael. He have brought us great memories as our neighbor in Plymouth Minnesota. Such a blessed child. He reminded us so much of his Dad. Josephine and I remember when we celebrated New Years day 1988. He was such a happy child. Our condolences go out to his wife Amy and his beloved children.

Amy, so sorry for your loss. Mike was a man that no matter how many years it had been since we last saw each other he’d have a smile, and reunite over past experiences. Like the time I almost beat him on the two mile run. Then again once he figured out it was me behind him there was no way I was passing him.

I was very sorry to hear about Mike. Iwas his Professor of Military Science at MTU and he was one of the first cadets I met and worked with closely. He was a good person and a fine officer and I am sure he was an even better husband and father.

My memories of Mike are more of a brother sister friendship. We were always stuck next to each other because of our last names and alphabetical order. I exasperated him to no end. I am so saddened to hear of his passing. My thoughts and prayers are with your whole family!

Mike helped shape or lives, high school memories are full cross country, drama, and downhill skiing events, with a few shenanigans on the side. Mike was a dynamo and his energy and work ethic were contagious to those around him. He was a true friend.

Mike was one of the first RAs (Resident Advisors) that I supervised at Michigan Tech 1997-1998. We bonded over my movie collection and the fact that my dad had been in the Army and was an engineer. He was in the group of returning RAs that I relied on in helping me with my transition to working in Wadsworth Hall. He would chase down the emergency alarm ringers from the elevator and he always had a positive thing to say. I am very sorry to hear of his passing and send my condolences to his family and friends.

Mike was such a kind hearted person!! He would give you the shirt off his back if he could. And that contagious laugh and constant smile! I will never forget our times bowling together, Livin’ On A Spare!! And then his beautiful song he wrote for Amy on her 40th birthday. He was a truly genuine great guy! He adored his family and Amy. Amy, my heart goes out to you! Prayers sweetie, now you have another beautiful guardian angel and I’m sure he’s laughing and joking with your mom.

This is such a tragic loss. Mike was such a kind and positive person. I always think of him and this memory when I hear Air Supply. Back in college Air Supply came to Meadow Brook and Mike, his sister (I am sure it was Karen), myself and my sister Nicole (Lents) Neveau all went together and we were sitting up on the hill. The concert started and the band comes out hooting and hollering. The lead singers starts shouting to the crowd “ARE YOU READY TO ROCK?!” Super loud, and he repeats this like 3 times at least. The whole crowd is screaming and really amped up. Then they break into one of their smooth rock ballads like Lost In Love. Well we just freeze and look at each other, the intro did not fit the song, and we are all like, did we all see the same thing right now? Then we burst out laughing. It was so funny. The rest of the night was just full of laughter and jokes. It was one of the best concert experiences I ever had. Every time I hear Air Supply I think of that night and what a great time we had. That is how I always think of Mike, with a big smile on this face.

I remember staying up all night working on a project in college with Hof. He left at 5 or 6 a.m. to go to ROTC training while I worked on our project. I couldn’t believe after staying up all night he had the energy to do calisthenics! Mike was a great guy and friend, very loyal, hardworking, and dependable!
