Mildred ?Ç£Millie?Ç¥ V. (Kade) Winslow, 89, of Beaverton, formerly of Hemlock, passed away peacefully at home on November 20, 2015. She was born on September 8, 1926 to the late Louis and Hattie (Diener) Kade in Hemlock. She married Melvin Jay Winslow on May 15, 1948, and they have four children.Millie is survived by her loving husband and her four children, Dianne Breternitz of Beaverton, Connie (William) Carson, Streetman, Texas, Ricky (Dawn) Winslow, Holland, Michigan and Kathy (Donald) Barber, Round Rock, Texas. She was also survived by her five grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, and her sister Vera Anderson of Hemlock.Millie was preceded in death by her brothers Elmer Kade, Harold Kade, Bernard Kade, Marvin Kade and son-in-law Roy L. Breternitz. Millie was a vibrant woman who enjoyed life to the fullest. Whether she was dancing with her husband or spending time with her family, her laughter remains in our memory. Her summer garden was brilliant with flowers as was her life. She touched many lives with her kind heart and warm words whether at choir practice, bowling or with her family. All those who survive her are better for having known her and will cherish her always.A memorial service will be held at 11:00a.m. on Wednesday, November 25, 2015 at Zion Lutheran Church, 17927 Dice Road, Hemlock, Michigan 48626, with Pastor Paul Hauser officiating. Visitation with family will be from 10a.m. until time of service on Wednesday, November 25, 2015 at the church. At Millie?ÇÖs request, cremation has taken place.
