Norma E. Hart, 96, of Midland, passed away on Wednesday, October 7, 2015 at MidMichigan Medical Center. She was born March 16, 1919 in Birch Run to the late Otto and Agnes (Arthur) Polzin. On May 11, 1943 Norma married Gerald M. Hart who predeceased her on September 5, 2015.Norma worked for Dow Chemical Company and the Midland Hospital as a key punch operator. She also worked in the Bullock Creek Public Schools as a teacher?ÇÖs aide. Norma was a member of Memorial Presbyterian Church where she volunteered her time helping with the yearly rummage sale and other church activities. Norma was involved in the cub scouts and 4H. She enjoyed gardening, canning and sewing. She made many items for her family over the years.Norma is survived by her daughter, Elaine (Michael) Neuenfeldt; sons, Gerard (Sharon) Hart, Kelvin Hart, and Randall (Amy) Hart, grandchildren; Tammy (Nick) Gaydos, Jamie (Jonathon) DeMond, Glenn Hart, Kevin (Maria) Hart, Aaron (Erin) Hart, Christine (Anthony) Barefoot and five great grandchildren as well as many special nieces and nephews.Norma was predeceased by her sisters Loretta Durow and Maxine Pomaville. A Funeral Service will be held at Smith-Miner Funeral Home on Monday, October 12, 2015 at 12:00 p.m. with Rev. Wallace H. Mayton III of Memorial Presbyterian Church officiating. Friends may visit with the family from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service.
