Norman C. “Joe-Charlie” Zorn, 71, of Midland, passed away Sept. 13, 2011 at MidMichigan Medical Center-Midland. He was born on June 14, 1940 in Midland to the late William Charles Zorn and Ethal P. (Bower) Simek. Norman graduated from Midland High School, Class of “60” and then served in the U. S. Air Force. Norm worked at Midland City Water Dept. and owned Four Seasons Builders. Norm enjoyed camping. Norm is survived by his daughter, Jennette Zorn-Stilwell (Dave Larson) of Indiana; fiance, Miriam “Mimi” Brown of Midland; Mimi’s children, Vince Saunders (Pam Dannenberg), Karen (Robert) Bovee of Midland, Jason (Deb Kortge) Saunders of Sanford, Brad (Jen) Saunders of Midland; daughter-in-law, Tammy; sister, Janet (Mike) Waldie of Westland; 21 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; and special childhood friend, Ted Sweebe of Midland. Norm was predeceased by his son William C. Zorn. A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, Sept. 17, 2011 at Smith-Miner Funeral Home, 2700 W. Wackerly, with Reverend David Van Norman of the First Church of God, Saginaw, officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home, on Friday, Sept. 16 from 4 til 7 pm and on Saturday from 10:00 am until the time of the service.
