Norman Dukarski, 79, of Midland, passed away on December 9, 2020 at MidMichigan Medical Center. He was born on December 30, 1940 to the late Aloysius and Delphine Dukarski. On October 5, 1963 her married Jeanette Laughlin and they shared 57 wonderful years together.


Norman worked as a pipefitter and hydraulic engineer for General Motors. He enjoyed trips to the casino and liked working outdoors especially on his lawn. In his younger years he enjoyed all types of hunting and fishing. Norman played in the men’s Hockey league in Midland for many years and he also coached youth hockey and little league baseball.


Norman is survived by his wife, Jeanette, children, Jim Dukarski, David (Kelly) Kissane, William Kissane, 4 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his sister Jane (Walt) Sczapanski.


Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at a later date. Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider the Midland Humane Society.

    I am so sorry for your loss, Jeanette and family. We have enjoyed Norm as a neighbor for the past several years. Even though we didn’t get the opportunity to talk much, we enjoyed our passing waves as either of us were coming and going. If you need anything, please let us know.
