Richard D. Spann, 77, of Midland, passed away on February 12, 2017 at his home. He was born on October 31, 1939 to the late Oscar and Mildred (Suzor) Spann. On July 4, 1959, he married Eleanore Winslow.Richard worked at Abe Surath Co for 25 years. He continued to work for an additional 10 years at Wallace Lawn care. He enjoyed fishing and was an avid deer hunter. Richard is survived by his wife, Elanore, daughters; Deborah (Roland) Colvin, Janet (Stephen) Sczepanski, Patricia (Kip) Sian, grandchildren; Jason, Kimberly Sczepanski, Sandra (Josh) Anderson, Robin Dowker, Josh (Marissa) Spann, Jeffrey (Tasha) Sian, great grandchildren; Dante and Jayden Dowker, Chloe, Emily, Jay Spann, Aidan Sczepanski, Corbin Anderson and a new great granddaughter due next month. He is also survived by his sisters, Barb Thurston and Jean Patton, sister-in-laws, Dolores, Joyce and Connie.Richard was predeceased by his son Rick, 9 brothers-in-law?ÇÖs, and 4 sisters-in-law?ÇÖs.A Memorial Service will take place at Smith-Miner Funeral Home on Thursday, February 16, 2017 at 2:00 pm with Roger D. Spann, cousin, officiating. Visitation will be from 11:00 am until the time of service.
