Robert Ward Cuddie, 64, of Midland, was promoted to heaven on September 12, 2013. He was born in Gladwin to the late Ellis and Mildred Cuddie who moved to Midland shortly thereafter. Robert graduated from Midland High in 1967, then attended Delta Collage and Cleveland Institute of Electronics. Robert was predeceased by his brother, Ronnie, and is survived by his sister, Darlene Cross, brother, Arnold (Doris) Cuddie and his loving wife of 44 years, Susan Pattison Cuddie. ?Ç£Bob?Ç¥ married his ?Ç£childhood sweetheart?Ç¥ in June of 1969, and soon enlisted in the U.S. Air Force. He served four years, including one in Turkey as N.C.O.I.C../ Staff Sergeant. During these years, Bob and Sue welcomed two children, Tina and James. 1989 brought the first of their eight grandchildren. Tina and Jeff Randall live in Texas with their four children: Jeffrey Jr., Jonathan , Jordan, and Jessica. James and Kimberly Cuddie live in Gladwin, Michigan, with their four children: Nickolas, Steven, Kaylin and Kari. All were a joy to “Paw Paw’s” heart. After returning from the USAF, Robert worked for ITEL Corporation in Midland and eventually retired from IBM in 2004 as an IT Specialist and RCDD with 25 years of service. The Cuddie family enjoyed camping and motorcycling with friends. Ellis (Dad), Robert and James spent much time deer hunting. Bob organized a hunting club. They also enjoyed small game hunting and training their dogs. Bob and Sue have been lifetime members of Calvary Baptist Church in Midland. They spent many hours using their carpentry skills to help repair friends?ÇÖ homes and build the new church wing. Bob was a Godly man, devoted, dependable and honest, with a heart for helping others. He will be greatly missed. A Memorial Service will be held at the Calvary Baptist Church at 6100 Perrine Road (corner of Wackerly), Midland on Saturday, September 28th. Visitation will be 10:00AM.with the service at 11:00 AM.
