Robyn Marie Everson, of Eaton Rapids, after a tenacious fight against cancer, went to be with her Lord Friday, December 28, 2018 at Brian’s House, Essexville, Michigan.

She was born in Midland, Michigan on July 31, 1952 to Dale and Eunice (Cox) Everson, both predeceased.

She loved bow and rifle hunting, fishing, and enjoyed time at cabin property in the woods.

Robyn graduated from Midland High School in 1970, earned an Associate’s Degree from Delta College, Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees in English from Michigan State University, and took advanced courses toward Doctoral studies. She was a skilled English teacher for 40 years at E. Lansing High School, MacDonald Middle School (E. Lansing), Springport High School, Lansing Community College, Ferris State, and Michigan State.

Robyn loved reading, drawing, writing, as well as her “girls”, canines Sam (Samantha), Bess, and Mollie as well as other dogs, birds, fish, rabbits, hamsters.

Robyn is survived by her son, Samuel A. Meadows of Chicago, step-daughters Jenna (Paul) Hajny of Green Bay, Wisconsin, and Corey (Joe) Wollin, grandson Isaac Hajny, and granddaughter Eleanore Wollin, her sister Carol (Ken) Moulton or Midland, her brother Dr. Dana (Gloria) Everson, Aunt Glenda (Terry) Klump, Aunt Mildred (Lowell) Everson, Uncle Jack (Charlotte) Cox, many cousins, nephews, nieces, and great nephews and nieces.

A funeral service will take place at Smith-Miner Funeral Home in Midland on Saturday, January 5th at 11:00 a.m. Friends may visit Friday, January 4th from 4 – 8 p.m., and Saturday, January 5th from 10 a.m. till time of service at 11 a.m. A meal will be provided at Calvary Baptist Church immediately following the service. Burial will take place in Midland Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, friends may consider donations to the American Cancer Society or to the Humane Society.

    I love Mrs. Stevens so much. She was my high school english teacher and i wanted to ask her to hand me my diploma but unfortunately she was sick already by then. i will be at the funeral. i am so sorry for your loss my heart is broken as i am sure yours is.
