Roland Lee Clink went peacefully home to be with the Lord on Saturday, December 9th 2017, at the age of 92. He had a fulfilling and useful life as a farmer and later retiring from Central Michigan University, after 17 years of custodial work. After retiring, he learned the art of locksmithing and as a hobby he enjoyed very much in aiding others by making keys for them, helping them get into their locked vehicles, houses, chests, and many other objects. He also was very good at repairing appliances, bicycles, lawn equipment and small engines.
Roland leaves behind his wife Marilyn, Brother Richard (Ester), sister Carol McConnell, nephew Michael, step-daughters Megan Walker, Catherine Looyengoed (Bob) and Linda Inman (Bill), also many nieces, nephews. He was loved and considered a grandfather to many. Roland was a gentle and caring man and will be missed greatly. He was preceded in death by his parents, Owen (Pete) and Alta Clink, brothers Owen Frederick and Walter Clink.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, December 12, 2017 at Calvary Baptist Church with Rev. Dan Dickerson officiating. Friends may visit with the family on Monday, December 11, 2017 from 5-7pm at Smith-Miner Funeral
Home and on Tuesday at Calvary Baptist Church from 10 am until the time of service.
